Fall Colors are Painting the Meadow!

Fall colors have arrived at Camas! Even the bull elk is strolling through the meadow admiring the fall foliage. Click on the photo above to better see the rack on the male of the herd.

Yesterday, a weather front finally crossed the Cascades and brought rain to Camas for the first time in several months. The mountains above Camas have the first dusting of snow. Today the clouds swirled around the peaks while the meadow was filled with patches of sun and the long shadows of autumn.

October has the fall colors, the deepest blue sky and the best skies for enjoying the night sky. The days are usually warm with temperatures peaking in the low 70's and mid 60's. The nights are getting cold with temperatures at the freezing mark. Perfect for enjoying a cozy fire at night.

The fall colors will be around for the most of the month. Peak fall color will be over by the next couple of weeks. Come and enjoy the meadow colors and Octoberfest in Leavenworth! The upcoming weekends are available, just waiting for your visit.
