November 26, 2006

Thanksgiving weekend brought snow....lots of it. There were an additional 12 inches on top of the six that were already on the ground. There s plenty of snow for cross-country skng annd sledding after this weekends snowfall. The forecast is for clear skies during the week and then more snow by Thursday.

This week it wll be time to cut the Christmas tree and decorate the lodge for the Christmas season.

The Christmas Tree Lighting weekends in December are still open. Christmas weekend is booked, but New Year's weekend is stll open.

With the snow cross-country skiing and sledding are on tap. We do provide snowshoes for those looking for a "slower" more genteel experience.

November 2nd, 2006

Saturday, morning October 28th. The warm days and cool nights have continued throughout the month. The aspen have lost most of their leaves and the larch are now taking center stage.

Today, November 2nd we had four inches of snow at Camas Meadows. This is the first serious snow of the year. Will November return to sunny to the sunny weather of October or will it be more like snowy December?
